Summer Worship Series: "God's Creative Connection"

Who among us hasn't wanted to be part of something greater? To be assured that we are not alone in celebrating life's joys or navigating life's challenges? To know (beyond any doubt) that who we are and what we do matters? On Pentecost, we remember the Holy Spirit poured out, freeing and empowering early believers to continue what they learned from Jesus. That very same Spirit moves among us today, making it possible for us all to participate in God's ongoing, creative work in the world, alongside countless others who share in God's holy connection.

In this summer worship series, we will explore how the Spirit has been at work since the very beginning, helping to create everything in existence. We will witness God's acts of redemption and reconciliation across the generations. Through song and celebration, through prayer and ongoing commitment, we will embrace the Spirit's presence in our lives, taking an active role in helping build a reality in which all might know the peace, justice, and love of God.

Pub Theology with Good Shepherd ELCA

Have you ever wondered how our faith fits with the everyday facts of life? Is there a question you've wanted to ask, but never found the place to? If so, then Pub Theology is for you! This summer, we are partnering with the folks at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church to make a safe, open space in which to explore our doubts and our wonderings, to learn from others, and to engage those of varying religious traditions and experiences.

Sessions will be every 1st and 3rd Wednesday (of June, July, and August), starting on Wednesday, June 3. So, gather round the tables at Scotty's Pizza from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and be sure to bring your questions and your curiosity!

Serving at Soup or Socks Food Pantry

There are many in our community who struggle with food scarcity, every day. As followers of Christ, we are called to show God's love in all we say and do, including by feeding the hungry. Our partnership with the Soup or Socks food pantry here in Marshfield is one way we reach out to and are in ministry with this vulnerable demographic.

Coming soon, we will have an opportunity to serve and to meet a vital need! Volunteer shifts are available Monday (Jul 6), Wednesday (Jul 8), or Fri (Jul 10). If you feel that this is something God may be calling you to do, contact the church office so that we can get you connected. Together, we can make a real difference in someone's life!
