Ministries and Missionaries Wesley supports.

The Never Forgotten Honor Flight – Flying Veterans to see the memorials that stand in their honor.

House of the Dove – Plays a vital role in helping serve patients and families in need of hospice care right here in Marshfield, WI.

Shirley’s House of Hope – Offers and provides programming and emergency care for all women and children who are in need of shelter as they flee from domestic abuse and violence situations.

Gideon’s International – Provides and distributes God’s Word to those who either can’t afford or don’t have access to a Bible of their own world-wide.  Distributing God’s Word is their mission based on Mark 16:15, “Go ye into all the world.”

American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge – An unique facility that provides a short term, comfortable place to stay (at little or no cost to the patient) for those receiving outpatient oncology treatment at St. Jospeh’s Hopsital here in Marshfield.  Our Mission, Nurture and Outreach committee serves supper there once a quarter for those staying there.

Ronald McDonald House – Not-for-profit organization that relies heavily on the support of volunteers and donations to provide low to no cost housing and home-like services for families who have children who are hospitalized or going through outpatient procedures here in Marshfield.

Marshfield Area Special Olympics – Offers year round sports activities for cognitive disabled athletes.  Most of the athletes are on a very low income and cannot afford to pay for any of these activities.

Jeremiah’s Crossing – Promotes and teaches equine assisted activities and therapies.  Clients find strength and independence through the power of the horses each year.

Wesley’s Mission Nurture Outreach (MMO) – Nurturing the lives of church members, especially our home bound friends, bringing them holiday cheer through cards, calls, special treats and small presents.

Zion United Methodist’s Thanksgiving Meal – Our church family is invited to enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal with Zion’s congregation and participate in a worship of thanks.

Hannah Center – Mission of assisting women in life crisis through compassion and guidance in a nurturing environment.  Committed to preserving LIFE, providing HOME and promoting CHANGE in each woman they serve.

Salvation Army – Tirelessy working every day within our community and around the United State, they work to alleviate many of the needs people have during times of struggle.  All money collected and received  by the Salvation Army is carefully used to meet needs with discretion and wisdom.

Human Relations Day-January 20, 2019

The Human Relations Day offering supports neighborhood ministries through Community Developers, community advocacy in the United States and Puerto Rico through United Methodist Voluntary Services, and work with at-risk youth through the Youth Offender Rehabilitation Program.

UMCOR Sunday-March 31, 2019

Gifts to UMCOR Sunday lay the foundation for all United Methodist Committee on Relief work by covering the costs of doing business.  This means all contributions designated to specific programs can go 100 percent to those programs because UMCOR’s basic expenses are covered.

Native American Ministries Sunday-May 5, 2019

The Native American Ministries Sunday offering supports Native American outreach within annual conferences, provides seminary scholarships for Native Americans, and strengthens, develops and equips Native American rural, urban and reservation congregations, ministries and communities.

Peace with Justice Sunday – June 16, 2019

Gifts on Peace with Justice Sunday fund programs that advocate for peace and justice in the United States and around the world.  These programs empower United Methodists to speak out for removing structures and systems that harm God’s children globally.

World Communion Sunday – October 6, 2019

The World Communion Sunday offering funds graduate racial-ethic World Communion Scholarships, with at least half of the annual amount reserved for ministries beyond the United States.  Donations also provide for undergraduate U.S. Ethnic Scholarship and Ethnic In-Service Training programs.

United Methodist Student Day-November 24,2019

Gifts to the United Methodist Student Day offering help deserving United Methodist students continue their education and their faith journeys as they strive to make a difference in the world and discern what God has called them to do.
